Welcome Northeast Region!
My name is Matt Mitchell and I am flattered to serve you as the 2007-2008 Northeast Regional Chair. The Northeast Region has made tremendous strides in the past, and I look forward to continuing our success in the future within the NSMH family. This year, I hope that we can build upon our past successes and set the tone for those entering the hospitality industry.
I encourage everyone to attend both our Regional and National Conferences. These conferences will give you the opportunity to meet and network with both business professionals and your peers. There will be a vast array of workshops, panels, and activities to help your enhance your own personal skill-set and knowledge, as well as find ways to build a stronger chapter. These conferences provide memorable experiences that you can take with you for the rest of your life; they are truly enriching opportunities that you shouldn’t miss out on!
I am thrilled to announce that the Northeast Regional Conference will be held in Hartford, Connecticut on October 26-28, 2007. This vibrant, historic city provides the perfect environment to host our event. We will be holding our conference at the Hartford Marriott Downtown Hotel.
There is a lot in store for us in the upcoming year, and I encourage all of you to seek excellence in each endeavor. I hope that everyone is energized and ready to make this a groundbreaking year! I look forward to meeting all of you in October!
