Express Shuttle is the official transportation company for the 19th Annual NSMH Conference. As a result of Hilton’s generous contribution, NSMH student/advisor registrants will receive a voucher to purchase roundtrip shuttle transportation from the airport to downtown hotels for the discounted rate of $16.50. All other registrants will receive a voucher for $2 off the regular roundtrip rate of $35.

> Express Shuttle does not take online or advance reservations.
> All registrants must present their voucher at the Express Shuttle service desk
   at the Pittsburgh International Airport upon arrival to receive the discounted rate.
> The service desk is centrally located on the landside, ground transportation
   level of the airport near rental care counters and baggage claim. It is identified by
   a large sign which reads “Express Shuttle”.
> Departures leave the airport to downtown hotels every half hour
   Sunday-Friday: 7am-11:30pm and Saturday: 7am-9pm.
> It takes approximately 45-60 minutes from pick-up to drop off at downtown hotels.

Special Note: To avoid delays and missed flights, upon arrival, have your travel itinerary
to make your hotel pick-up reservation for Sunday after the NSMH Conference.

> The Express Shuttle times listed above are not flexible. If your flight times conflict
   with the schedule above, please go to www.pghtrans.com to get information on
   other travel options from the airport.
> Express Shuttle is the only shuttle service to downtown hotels. If you cannot use
   Express Shuttle due to flight time constraints, a taxi will be your only option.
> Approximate Taxi Cost is $42-$50 from the airport to downtown properties.
   Prices vary based on route, time of day, traffic patterns and weather conditions.
> Express Shuttle picks up from downtown hotels beginning at 7am Sunday morning.
   If you have a very early flight the Sunday after the conference a taxi may be
   your only option. Taxi fares are $42-$50 from downtown hotels to the airport. Please
   come prepared and plan ahead.

Important Travel Survival Tips:

1.   Create a travel plan in advance but be flexible.
2.   Factor possible flight delays/cancellations into your travel plan
3.   Check Pittsburgh weather 7 days prior to your departure to allow for flexibility
      in your travel plans and airport transportation timing.
4.  To save money, try to book your flight well within the above shuttle service
      departure times. Taxi service is very expensive and is your only option from the
      airport (besides car rental) if you miss the shuttle
5.   Call your hotel a few days prior to arrival to confirm your reservation.
6.   Keep in mind, most NSMH travelers will arrive on Thursday, February 21, allow
      time in your plan for delays at baggage claim.
7.   Even though Express Shuttle picks up every 30 minutes from the airport,
      factor in a possible wait time due to the volume of passengers because of
      the conference. Bring snacks, reading materials, I POD or laptop to entertain you if
      there is a wait.
8.  Be patient. Travelling can be very stressful. Always keep in mind that most delays
     are out of the control of the service providers you come in contact with. Remain
     calm and respectful to travel employees.
9.  If your travel plan has you arriving at the hotel before 3pm, there is a possibility that
      your room will not be ready. Be prepared to wait patiently.
10. Be hospitable. Don’t forget to greet others, say thank you, and tip.
