
NSMH Announces Its Inaugural Hospitality Challenge Competition
What is the NSMH Hospitality Challenge?
The NSMH Hospitality Challenge {"The Challenge") is a premier event designed to showcase the talent and innovative ideas of hospitality students. Teams of three to four participants from each NSMH chapter will tackle real-world challenges faced by the hospitality industry, providing solutions that can make a difference.
Why Participate?
- Recognition Awards: The top three teams will receive scholarship prizes!
- Conference Participation: The top five teams will be invited to present their solutions at NSMH's Fall Conference, taking place from October 30 - November 1.
- Skill Development: Gain invaluable experience in problem-solving, teamwork, and presentation skills.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with industry professionals and fellow students passionate about hospitality.
- Recognition: Showcase your talent and creativity on a national stage.
Competition Details:
- Team Composition: Each team should consist of three to four participants.
- Submission Deadline: Teams must submit their presentation deck by October 15.
- Challenge Focus: Address the following question:
What can industry do to open up the pipeline in hospitality programs that will eventually grow hospitality management talent
- Presentation Round: The top five teams will present live at the Fall Conference, with a 15-minute pitch followed by a 7-minute Q&A.
